Talay Vineyard was built in Bozcaada in 1948 as a family company. Once they were making and producing non-bottled wine, then they started producing bottled wine in 1955 and upgraded their factories to 2.5 million tones per year capacity in 1999. Many of the production grapes are growing up in their family vineyard which is including Vasilaki, Karalahna and Kuntra. They are producing 24 kinds of wines from grapes which are growing in regions of Canakkale and Bozcaada. Besides they are producing new wines from foreign based Cabernet, Sauvignon. Chardonnay and Merlot grapes. Besides Talay’s factory in center, they also have two wine shops in center where you can taste wines and find your favorite one. And on the other hand during the day in summer season, they are organizing small tours which you can see inside of the factories and their granaries.
You can find Talay wines in some of the markets in Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara.

Talay Vineyard is organizing small tours in last two years called ‘Tasting Wine Tour’ and ‘Vintage Tour’ in the period of vintage times. During these tours with accomodation, you can find not only the opportunity to taste island wines but also work with the workers in the vineyard and can make observations. These tours have already became traditional and attract interest from many people.
