Address: Greek District, Çınarçarşı Street
The Çınarbaşı Street where once Lodos was located was a creek with small bridges on surrounded by cafees and restaurants. Lodos became a pioneer to revitalize the once most colorful street of the island after years.
The restaurant building was a cafee owned by Andrea Manolidis. The building was maintained original. Hand crafted ceilings and the wooden floors are all the same. The fireplace, original paintings on walls, objects and other decorative items reflect the warm ambiance of the place.
A typical street restaurant in summer, Lodos offers all features of Aegean and the island couisine in particular. Olive oil is the main ingredient in most courses. Salads made of seasonal fresh herbs, starters with olive oil and special mezes are the irresistible choices in the menu.
Offering 35 different choices Lodos’s Fish Couisine never includes a farm product as a main principle. Instead, you may try island fish such as lipsos, dory, sea bass, mackerel and red mullet with pilchard in leaves prepared with a special sauce.
Their specialties includes sunflower seed rolls, red pepper rolls, melted goat cheese on leaves, artichoke salad with gum, Aegean meze with olives, fish salad with black eyed peas, Cretan pastry with squash, calamari rolls and smoked octopus...
Lodos plays Rebetiko, Jazz and ethnic world music all day long. Please keep in mind, in summer nights, you should make an advance reservation to find a table in this special place.
