Ada Cafee was opened as the first of its kind by a couple who escaped from the city life and settled on the island 12 years ago. They did not only bring the cafee culture to the island but also served as guides to visitors. In those years when tourism was not much developed, their efforts to show tourists around and rent bicyles for the first time made it an indispensable place. Ada Cafee, more than a hang out to eat and drink, is still a valuable source where you may find many helpful information.

The menu mainly consists of Aegean cousine. When they first included meals made of wild herbs peculiar to Aegean region in their cousine, they were highly disliked. But now these herbs can be found in the main courses of many island restaurants.

Ada Cafee has special ties with poppies. The poppy drink made with poppies that they harvest with their own hands is very popular. Other poppy tastes include poppy coctail and poppy pudding. You can also buy poppy syrup and poppy jam from the cafee.

Mr. Melih also launched the first island related website www.bozcaada.info. Logging on to the site, you can access practical, updated and detailed information on the island based on many years of experience.
